Bra.I.N Math

Brazilian-Italian Networks of Mathematicians

to share informations about opportunities in Brazil and Italy

Why this Network?

In the week between August 29 and September 2, 2016, in the spaces provided by   IMPA, in Rio de Janeiro, the first meeting of the two major italian and brazilian mathematical societies (the UMI and the SBM) was celebrated. The absolute success of the event, which stimulated numerous interactions between researchers of the two countries, in any area of mathematics.

The success of the meeting was favored by the consistent number of Italian mathematicians employed in the largest institutions of higher education in Brazil and by the frequent trips of Brazilian researchers in Italian universities.
With the aim of not wasting the  propulsive burden of the enormous heritage of scientific and academic collaboration, a group of young organizers of the event and of thematic sessions decided to constitute an active, though informal, network of exchange of information (Contests and event, initiatives) and also as a platform for mathematical discussions.

We count on everyone's participation. The registration is completely free and consists in being registered in a mailing list.
We will begin so slowly but with aiming to more ambitious goals, like providing organizational support  to the initiatives of our two mathematical societies (SBM and UMI) and we hope that we can organize an event where there may be an assembly to constitute us in a true association of Mathematicians from the two Countries.
